Description
Assignment Details:
Location: Southern California (stand-alone cancer center)
Duration: December – June (potential to extend)
Schedule: 1–3 weeks per month (rotating with two other providers)
Shifts: 7A–5P inpatient consult service + call coverage
Volumes: 3–5 new consults/day; 5–10 follow-ups/day (complex cases, up to 2 hours per patient)
EMR: Epic
Scope of Practice:
100% inpatient consults, highly acute, cancer-related cases
CAR T-cell therapy, stem-cell transplant, clinical trial patients (Phase I–III)
Oncology surgery patients (thoracic, lung, urology, colorectal)
Autoimmune complications in myeloma and lymphoma
No solid organ or allergen transplants at this site

Support & Team:
Work alongside 2 other ID specialists + ID pharmacists

Requirements:
Board Certification in Infectious Diseases
Active California license required
