Description
Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Locums Job in Virginia Jackson and Coker is partnered with a hospital located in Northern Virginia that is needed trauma ICU coverage starting early in 2025. The facility is interested in filling around 28 shifts per month (14 day shifts, 14 night shifts) starting in late March/early April and ongoing. This facility is a designated level II trauma center but is located near and works closely with a busy level 1 trauma center in the next town over. Prefer to credential providers at both locations and providers that are open to flexible scheduling.
Details for Assignment #106830:
--Active & unrestricted VA license + DEA is required
--Anticipated credentialing timeline is averaging ~90 days
--Schedule: Prefer blocked shifts in 5-7 if possible, 12 hour shifts (7A-7P and/or 7P-7A)
--Preferred skills: tubes, central lines, intubating & working as 1st assist
--Must have experience with trauma programs
--ATLS and DEA required
--Job duties: will perform a wide range of tasks along the entire continuum of care of trauma and acute care surgery patients, from admission to discharge
--APPs practice under the supervision of the trauma or acute care surgeon
--Facility details: 200+ bed facility, designated level II trauma center, MediTech EMR
