OB/GYN Physician Locums Job | Ongoing Laborist Coverage in Massachusetts

Dates of Coverage:
--24 hour in-house call
--Will take multiple providers, if needed
--15-18 shifts per month, weekends needed
--Coverage needed ongoing through possibly 2025

Assignment Details (#101755):
--Board Certified or Board Eligible is required
--Massachusetts license is preferred
--BLS certification is required
--Practice setting: no outpatient or elective surgeries
--Total number of beds: 16 beds- 6 labor/10 postpartum
--Four physicians in practice and 10 APPs
--Percentage of practice is low risk pregnancy: 100%
--Percentage of practice is GYN: 15%  - GYN emergency coverage only
--Percentage of patients are C-Section: 25%
--Level 1 Nursery
--EMR: Meditech
--Required Procedures: FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds, Routine Delivery – Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section, Complicated Delivery – C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc., VBAC’s, Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations. D&C, Surgical Gynecology – Open, Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation. LOA’s, Chromal Tubation, Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA’s.
