Description
New Gastroenterology Physician Locums Job in Pennsylvania Our client in Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh, is searching for a Gastroenterologist to assist with call coverage throughout 2024. The ideal candidate will have ongoing availability one week per month. Details/Requirements for Assignment 101824
-- Coverage: one week per month, Monday-Friday or Monday-Monday
-- Will take 24-hour call the entire week. There is mid-level support in the hospital and to help with patient rounds during the day.
-- Will perform consults, round on inpatients, possibility for schedule OP cases (8-13 per day on average)
-- Rounding on established patients and provide initial consult for any new patient
-- Most common weekend procedures: EGD and colonoscopies
-- ERCP/EUS preferred but not required
-- Credentialing takes 3 months on average so can expect late June/July start
-- EMR Meditech
