Full-Time Locums Job | Nurse Practitioners Needed | Support New York City Stroke Program
One of our partnered health systems in New York City is in need of locums Stroke Nurse Practitioners.
Preference will be given to providers who can:
--Start as soon as May
--Can offer consistent availability
--Clean Background
--Local to Metro NYC
--Schedule: Daily 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P, 7P-7A
--EMR: Epic, PACs
Procedures required:
--NIH Stroke Scale examination and scoring
--Dysphagia Swallow Screen
--Neurological assessment
--Physical exam
--Suctioning
--Thrombolytic IV injection
--IV insertion (Ultrasound-guided would be preferable)
--Case load/volume:
--Consultative service and stroke code responder; 30 patients per month; the position would not require you to be the primary front line-provider
--Typical cases: Ischemic stroke, ICH, Stroke mimics (ex: dizzy, HA, syncope, AMS), & SAH
--Support staff: Consultative service of 1 APP with 1 Supervising Attending
