North Mississippi Hospital | AP/CP Pathology Locums Job | Starting ASAP 

Details for Assignment #101378: 

Coverage needed: 
* Seeking weekday (Monday-Friday) coverage starting at the end of April + ongoing
* Hours are 7:30AM - 5:00PM
* Will need night call (5PM-7:30AM) each evening + weekend call coverage (Friday at 5PM - Monday at 7:30AM)
* Seeking one to three Pathologists to fill full-time schedule 

Requirements: 
» Mississippi medical license required (open to reviewing candidates that have an active LOQ through the IMLC too)
» AP/CP Board Certification and/or true Eligibility required

Staff: 
» Will work as a SOLO Pathologist + alongside of an onsite pathology specialized PA (handles all grossing) 
» Will have digital pathology support locally & within the group's network 
» Will have transcriptionists to type up all of your reports (they're off site) & turn around reports in 2 hours or less on average
» EPIC EMR

Cases and volume:
» Will perform a total of 10-15 procedures on site per month (EBUS, EUS, IR, FS -- performed on site)
» No cytotechs, respiratory staff make EBUS smears & bring them to the lab
» Night/weekend call will include clinical lab call & blood bank call
» Cases to anticipate: GI biopsies, GYN biopsies, skin biopsies, bladder biopsies, laryngeal biopsies, breast biopsies, lung biopsies (for tumor), appendix, tonsils, gallbladders, hernias, mastectomies, colon resections, hysterectomies, amputations, placentas, peripheral blood smear reviews, occasionally thyroids, nephrectomies, orchiectomies, prostatectomies, large cancer resections, neuropathology 
» Non-Gyn Cytology 
» One thoracic tumor board per week
» No autopsies
