New Gastroenterology Hospitalist Locums Job in Georgia
Our client in Georgia is searching for a Gastroenterologist to assist with unrestricted call coverage starting ASAP (3 month credentialing period) and for 11 day stretches each month. This is a large health system in Georgia, and a client we've partnered with often. We'd love to present you to this opportunity! Details/Requirements for Assignment #99160:
--Coverage starting in ASAP and ongoing for 6 months at a minimum
--Seeking 1-2 physicians to cover 11 day stretches each; Coverage would start on a Friday morning and extend to the second Monday (11 days forward)
--Will work alongside of 1 additional GI (No APPs) who primarily covers ERCP coverage
--Credentialing process is typically a minimum 3 month process. Will have virtual trainings, EPIC EMR training and modules to complete prior to start.
--Prefers providers that have a minimum of 5+ years of working experience
--Moderate volume (average of 35/cases/month) - will likely work an 8-hour day Monday through Friday while taking 24-hour call. Weekends can expect to spend 4 hours on average in the hospital per day. No scheduled cases on the weekends, but will round, consult and operate as needed.
--ERCP preferred, EUS not required/. Will not see any trauma
--Coverage is for two hospitals (one hospital is very low volume) The hospitals are 7 minutes away by car.
--Hospital has 11-20 days per month uncovered. Looking for a candidate with consistent availability to offer at least one week per month.
--There are permanent providers at the hospital that will cover/take over for any patients seen
--Will have block time for Endoscopy during the week. Typically will see 3-4 consults per day on average as well. Internal Medicine docs and Residents will help support the locum while on site, and continuing care when locum isn't on site. Can expect phone calls in the evenings, but callbacks to the hospital are at a minimum.
