  • Options for 7 on 7 off or 14 on 14 off
  • Commitment for one week at a time, preferably one week on and one week off, or at least one week a month, for better internal schedule planning.

Work Details:

• Support staff: NP’s Monday – Friday
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 30 days – 3 providers needed
• Patients per day: Consult volume varies with patient census averaging 25 patients
• Patient population/age: Rural population with high acuity GI service division. Multiple pathologies. Adult 18 and above
• Department description: Gastroenterology needing inpatient GI coverage. 7 on shift inpatient consultation plus procedures to manage one of two teams. 2nd team would be GI teaching service. 3rd position would cover 7 on, alternating with current faculty. Total of 3 locum need.
• EMR: Cerner
• Special procedures: EGD Colon non-advanced procedures
• Skills required: Routine GI

• Hospital

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• License required: WV
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications required: ACLS
