Job Title: Licensed Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in primary care/internal medicine to join our healthcare team. The NP will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in our Internal Medicine Primary Care practice. This role emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions in adult patients.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and radiology reports.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments according to established protocols.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic condition management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using our EMR system (EClinicalWorks).
  • Participate in continuous education and research to stay updated on advancements in internal medicine and primary care.
Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner Position:
  • Georgia State Nurse Practitioner License with a specialty in family or adult medicine.
  • Specialty Board Certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • National Board Certification through AANP or ANCC.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in primary care, specifically in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Proficiency in Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding guidelines.
  • Experience with EMR systems, preferably EClinicalWorks, and dictation software like Medical Dragon One.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Operational Details & Scheduling:
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 4.5-day workweek (flexible schedule).
  • Office closed on weekends and major holidays to prioritize work-life balance.
  • Patient volume structured at 2 new or 3 established patients per hour.
  • On-call responsibilities are limited to phone calls only, with minimal and light call volume.
