A strong organization focused on ophthalmology care is seeking a BSN to act as the Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator for their recently-acquired location in central Suffolk County, Long Island
Job Function:
Directly oversee a Nurse Manager that has a staff of approximately 15 people, including scrub techs, central sterile techs and Femto laser technicians and 2-3 other RNs
Expected to oversee that clinical care services run smoothly and provide oversite to all supervisors, including the training of supervisors and teammates
Conduct regular rounds to ensure infection control/prevention compliance and manage all aspects of the clinical quality improvement programs (Environment of Care, Life Safety Code, Regulated Medical Waste Disposal)
Offer regular staff meetings and trainings to enhance communication at the site
Handle patient questions, concern and complains from patients and loved ones
Maintain detailed records and HIPAA compliance
Maintain the budget provided and directed by the organization executive team
Monday-Friday schedule expected to be 7am-4pm
