Job Details: We are in search of a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to provide locums coverage, offering comprehensive care to pediatric patients. The selected physician will play a key role in rounding, responding to codes, and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure the highest standard of patient care. 2024 Coverage Details: Hospital Privileges: Inpatient coverage only. Average Total Inpatient Census: 5, providing a manageable workload for a personalized approach. Average Patients/Day/Provider: 2, allowing for thorough and attentive care. Average Admissions/Day/Provider: 2, ensuring a balanced and rewarding workload. Required Certifications: BLS/PALS/NRP, highlighting our commitment to patient safety. Pediatric Unit: 10-bed facility, fostering a supportive and patient-focused environment. Coverage Areas: Newborn nursery, scheduled C-sections, and deliveries. Call Expectations: Not required to stay on site during call – must be within 30 minutes of the facility. Hospital Information: Our facility is a 114-bed hospital with a low-volume Emergency Department, catering to approximately 23,000 patients annually. Utilizing EPIC EMR ensures seamless communication and comprehensive patient care. Orientation and Support: The locums provider is required to come in the day before the first shift for orientation, emphasizing our commitment to a smooth and collaborative onboarding process.
