Physician / Family Practice / New York / Locum or Permanent / MD - Primary Care Medical Director Job

Community Health organization seeking a medical director for their location in Manhattan.

Job Function:

• Keep hand in clinical medicine, servicing a panel of adult-only or patients of all ages depending on training
• Full spectrum primary care - diagnose and treat medical illnesses, refer to specialists
• Full time Monday to Friday
• Community health setting diverse patient population, normal primary and patients with more chronic conditions
• Assist in peer review chart audits and other appropriate quality activities
• Protected administrative time to assist in recruitment, supervision and evaluation of staff (including oversight of lab and radiology services)
• Participate in quality improvement committee and activities
• Attend board of directors meetings as assigned
