Louisiana – Anesthesiology • Hospital based employment • Surgical Case Variety: OB/GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urologic, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Trauma ( Level III) • Regarding Pediatrics – Typically 3 – 4 weeks is the youngest. Occasionally, neonates for pyloric stenosis • No epidurals at the main campus, all done by CRNA’s at the Women’s Campus • Looking for General Anesthesiologist but Cardiac experience is a plus • Two facility locations: 315 bed Main Campus Hospital and multidisciplinary Women and Children’s Hospital o Main Campus has 16 ORs and a 5 room Endoscopy suite o Women’s Campus has 6 ORs • Established Anesthesiology team including7 Physicians and more than 20 CRNAs • CRNA oversight • Approximate hours: 6:30am – noon or could be until 5:00pm. (there is always one late physician until 5:00pm) – if on nights, come in at 5:00pm and finish any cases left from the day but are still on-call until 6:00am for 7 days
