seeking a BE/BC fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon to join our 15-surgeon general surgery group, including dedicated bariatric, colorectal, surgical oncology, and trauma/critical care specialists. Applicants should be able to perform broad-based general surgery procedures and all procedures related to breast surgery. Practice is 80% breast with Trident intra-operative x-ray, in-office ultrasound, and in-house breast center with Aurora Breast MRI and automated whole breast ultrasound. Other features are Savi Scout partial breast radiation and indocyanine green for sentinel node detection and flap vascularization. Some general surgery is outpatient, and on call for acute. Physicians average 12 to 17 surgeries a week.
Surgeons cover a single large referral hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Missouri. The group is the only general surgery group at the hospital, has very low turnover, and is surgeon-led. Surgeons are very busy and share call responsibilities equally. Work-life balance is a priority. Applicants can expect Q6/7 weekday/weekend call with a colorectal and in-house trauma surgeon partner coverage simultaneously. As practice grows, NP/PA collaboration is common.
