Description
Coverage Needed
ASAP - Ongoing
Seeking General Medicine Providers to work with Veterans performing Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.
Block-time availability is preferred but willing to accept providers with sporadic availability - will be on an as-needed basis.
Schedule
Day Shifts. Full day (5 hours or Longer) or Half Days (4 hours or less)
As-Needed Basis
Not a set schedule. Some providers work 9am " 5pm, 12pm " 4pm, 8am " 5pm, etc
Clinical Details
One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
Travel to facility to complete exam or perform exam within own practice - within 50 miles
All patients are Veterans
No prescribing, no treatment
Duties: Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, DBQs
Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
Record review and Follow-up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (Addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
Requirements
Must be willing to get DMA Certified upon hire
DMA certification available (can get CME credits) " will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions - Required
Active ARLicense
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency - Required
Previous compensation and pension evaluation experience
Must be willing to wear a mask during all visits - Required
Must have own laptop/computer
no Apple/Mac Products
Use of Goniometer - required
Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio " required
Active and unrestricted full license - Required, provide license # at time of name clear
Must live at address within 50 miles of site - CV needs current home address listed
Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if attended school in a different country
