  • Primarily night coverage (7p-7a) but will need all shifts listed below.
  • 7a-7p; 9a-9p; 7p-7a
  • 18 shifts per month
• Clinical Details
  • Typical Day: Wide variety of ED patients with a focus on lower acuity patients
  • Other Specialties Onsite: Trauma, stroke, neurosurgery, general surgery, ENT, OB/GYN, Anesthesia, hospitalists, ICU
  • Typical Cases: I and D's, laceration repairs
  • Patient Mix: 80% Adult | 20% Peds
• Requirements
  • Active PA License
  • ACLS, ATLS, BLS, CPR, PALS; Stroke Certified
  • Board Certified
  • 2-years minimum experience
  • May be required to help perform Triage/Tech responsibilities. UPMC Altoona/Bedford are Stroke Certified facilities - NIHSS must be kept current annually as well as Stroke CME. Annual
    EMTALA education is also mandatory and will be sent out to the provider by the ED Administrative Assistant. Experience should be Emergency Department experience.
