The Trauma and Stress Recovery Center (TSRC) is a multi-disciplinary practice which provides treatment for a diverse population. TSRC is firmly rooted in empirically-validated treatment, tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. Offices are located in downtown San Francisco, downtown Oakland, Novato, and recently expanded to Panorama City in Southern California. TSRC is seeking well-trained clinicians with a strong interest and skills in whole-person treatment of complex issues.

Expectations and Requirements:

Clinicians must be licensed in California with a Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical psychology and demonstrate qualifications in assessment, clinical care, and report preparation.

Clinicians must have experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of chronic pain and trauma, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, and other integrative approaches.

Clinicians should have individual and group therapy expertise in the following:

Mind-body techniques that control the effects of pain
Decreasing dependence on pain medications and interventional pain treatments
Influencing health independence behaviors
Increasing functionality
Clinicians should be familiar with evidence-based treatment modalities including but not limited to:

Psychophysiological - Desensitization techniques such as EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Systematic Desensitization, Biofeedback
Cognitive – Addressing Fear Avoidance Behavior, Catastrophic Thinking, Locus of Control
Behavioral – Managing Stress Reactivity, Self-Care, Goal Setting, Behavioral Activation, Diet/Nutrition, and Exercise
Psychosocial – Coping with Depression, Anxiety, Building Social Skills, Vocational Goal Setting
Substance Use/Abuse
Pain Management and medication reduction approaches
Workers’ Compensation experience is highly desired.
