Founded in 1973 as a single provider practice, Soderstrom has grown to become the largest dermatology practice in its region, with nine locations offering comprehensive dermatology services including general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, Mohs surgery, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, laser procedures and a med spa delivering care to communities underserved by specialist care. Soderstrom has nearly 200 dedicated clinical employees, completes ~140,000 patient visits a year, and has built a reputation for high-quality, specialized dermatology services and superior patient care. Soderstrom has offices in Peoria, Morton, Peru, Galesburg, Moline, and Normal, Illinois, and offices in Clinton, Davenport and Muscatine, Iowa.

Position Description: Chief Clinical Officer

Soderstrom Dermatology Center is seeking a CCO/CMO that will take on the challenge of succeeding and building upon the achievements of founding physician and current CCO, Charles Soderstrom, MD. The physician leader will join a highly productive practice and growing organization and have a history of proven leadership capabilities, track record of achievements and strong clinical judgment, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated ability to conceptualize key healthcare trends to champion a team environment. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CCO will serve as the clinical leader and is responsible for supervision and leadership of the practices’ clinical staff.

The CCO will be tasked with creating and further cultivating a culture of teamwork through the direct engagement of each provider. The CCO will be committed to leading the medical team according to the organizational philosophy of “the best interest of the patient is the only one to be considered.” Additionally, the CCO will actively participate on the Board of Directors of MedPro Advantage, assisting and supporting the financial performance of the practice, including but not limited to budget review and growth strategies.

Requirements:
•  Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferably Dermatology.
•  Minimum ten (10) years’ experience as a board-certified MD.
•  Current American Board Certification for Dermatology.
•  Meets all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
•  Fulfillment of CME to meet organizational and state licensing requirements.
•  Additional certifications such as current CPR Certification or DEA License may be preferred.
