Description
Enjoy a dynamic practice in the Western Mountain Foothills of Maine. This opportunity offers an outstanding 10-bed community Emergency Department with over 16,000 visits per year with a well-rounded case mix. The ED is well supported with local hospitalist and other consultative services along with robust ancillary services.

There is a need for two full-time Emergency Medicine physicians. Family Medicine physicians with ED experience will be considered.

The Emergency Medicine physician will work 12 shifts a month, which will include 7a-7p, swing shift 10a-8p, and 7p-7a. The physicians will see an average of 1.3 patients per hour, with about 20% of cases being pediatric and 80% being adult/geriatric. The ED receives about 16,000 annual visits, which include ski accidents, the flu, fractures and more. You will experience many complex and exciting cases.
