Hospitalist Advanced Practitioner in New York

DrWanted is currently in need of Advanced Practice Providers for a site located in the Hudson Valley, New York:

Requirements of Advanced Practitioners

• Perform evaluation and management services to patients requiting Hospitalist services with the Hospitalist practice
• Develop treatment plans
• Complete admissions from ED
• Perform dictation of H&P examinations
• Cross cover for the Hospitalist team
• Perform dictation of discharge summary and procedure reports
• Expected to see 15-19 patients per day
• Write progress notes
• Order routine and special laboratory studies
• Write orders for inpatient and outpatient medicine
• 7a-7p
• Rotate 1:5 in terms of admissions
• Maybe asked to cover rapid discharge unit
• Perform such other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within NP/PA scope of practice
• Open ICU; 22 ICU Beds
• Hospital Beds: 375
• Avg. Census: Day: 8 - 10, Night: 10 - 12
• Codes: yes
• EMR: McKesson
