We are seeking a qualified Financial Generalist for an immediate opening. Our Client is a professional level position which will work with the agency’s Chief Finance Officer and finance team to provide a variety of tasks in completion of financial reporting and to assist management to assure that internal controls are adequate, appropriate and in compliance with state and federal standards, grant guidelines, and agency policies.

$18.00-$20.00 Hourly Pay, Based on Experience

Job Responsibilities

Each Financial Generalist is centered on lasting, caring relationships with patients and their families.

Additional responsibilities for the Financial Generalist include:

50%: Grant Administration

Tracking and reporting of grant allocations, budgets and expenditures, completion of financial reports, and ongoing consultation regarding these grants with clinical and management staff
Timely and accurate billing of all agency grants
Working with agency staff to assure grant requirements are met

30%: Accounts Payable

Primary back-up for Accounts Payable
Charge expenses to accounts and departments in Acumatica correctly and timely
Coordinate with CFO on timely payment of all invoices
Process weekly accounts payable reports from Acumatica for CFO and other finance team members as needed
Enter all ACH transactions in Acumatica
Enter all ACH deposits in Acumatica

20%: Payroll

Primary back-up for Payroll
Review all time cards for accuracy
Ensure accurate calculation of straight time, overtime, etc.
Ensure that time is allocated to the appropriate department
Reconcile payroll transactions in Acumatica’s General Ledger

Job Requirements

We are looking for dedicated and professional Financial Generalist who is highly organized and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific qualifications for the Financial Generalist role include:

Must possess and maintain excellent knowledge of governmental accounting standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public and business administration, modern office procedures, practices, and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to effectively plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate fiscal and business services
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and staff, stakeholders, associates and state/federal officials and the general public
