Description
We are seeking a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for an immediate opening. Our client is a private, not for profit Community Behavioral Health Care provider serving Cape May County. Their Mission is "To promote and provide superior behavioral healthcare in the community." They provide comprehensive behavioral health treatment services under contract with the Division of Mental Health Services, the Division of Addiction Services, the Division of Youth and Family Services and the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services.
Our client offers the following benefits:$105,000 - $110,000 Salary Depending on experiencePTO - 27 daysHolidays - 13 days5 days for CME - $1000Health/Vision/Dental Insurance (3 different plans, optional BlueCross Health Savings Account)Life InsuranceLong Term Disability Job Responsibilities Provides competent, holistic, effective advanced practice nursing care to consumers of behavioral health care at this agency according to standards set forth in statement on Psychiatric Mental health Clinical Nursing Practice (ANA, 1994). Population served will be adult consumers with mental illness and substance abuse (MICA). Functions as an independent nurse clinician and maintains competency to perform psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric pharmacological and psychological interventions, psychotherapy, consultation to other health care providers and evaluation of outcome. Maintains collaborative practice with physician for prescriptive practice.
Additional responsibilities for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) include:8:30am - 5:00pmPossible Four (10) Hour shifts No On Call18 to 24 patients per dayMaintains clinical responsibility for the counseling of clients who have a severe and persistent mental illness and substance abuse problems.Provides diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and completes necessary updates as required.Psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring 75%Initial psych evaluation 1 hour, Medication Monitoring 20 minutes Job Requirements We are looking for dedicated and professional Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who are committed to providing exceptional patient care and service. It is also important that you are highly organized and that you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Specific qualifications for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role include:Certified advanced practice nurse in the state of New Jersey and ANCC certification Minimum of a Master's degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing. New Jersey license required.
